Music Video Production — Singapore
The Song Leads The Camera Follows
Performance films, narrative videos, and lyric videos for artists, labels, and brand collaborations. Built around the song, not around a template.
What We Do
Visuals That Match The Song
We produce music videos for independent artists, signed acts, and brand-artist partnerships. Performance films, narrative pieces, lyric videos, and hybrid formats. The format follows the song, the artist, and the release plan.
Every project starts with the music. We listen first. The visual language, location, talent, and pacing all flow from what the song is actually doing.
Before We Start
We Listen To The Song First
Concept work begins after we have heard the song, read the lyrics, and understood the release context. The visuals come from the music. Not from a Pinterest board.

How We Work
A Process Built Around The Song
When the song leads, the visuals follow. We start by listening. The treatment that emerges is built around your music, and every visual choice traces back to something specific in the track.
Concept & Treatment
We start with the track. Tempo, lyrical themes, genre, the artist's brand. From those, a written treatment lays out the visual concept: performance vs narrative, location feel, colour direction, pacing references.
You approve the treatment before any production planning starts. No surprises in the pre-production phase.
Storyboard & Artist Approval
Every shot is drawn out before the shoot. Performance angles, narrative beats, transitions, key moments. You see the full visual sequence before we book a location or call talent.
The storyboard locks in:
- › Performance vs narrative balance per section
- › Lip-sync coverage and angles
- › Locations, sets, and prop direction
- › Wardrobe, styling, and continuity
- › Camera moves and lighting setups
- › Edit pacing and music sync points
Pre-Production & Casting
With the storyboard locked, every supporting element is assembled. Locations are scouted and confirmed. Supporting cast is auditioned where needed. Wardrobe, props, and styling are sourced and fitted in advance.
Crew is booked: director, DOP, gaffer, sound, hair and makeup, BTS. Every role on the shoot day is filled by someone who has read the storyboard.
Shoot Day
The shoot runs to the storyboard. Multiple takes per scene for performance and safety coverage. Lip-sync is captured against playback. Narrative scenes are blocked, lit, and shot in sequence where possible.
Because the plan was locked in pre-production, the shoot day is about execution. Not improvisation under pressure.
Post-Production & Delivery
Footage is cut to the song. Performance and narrative coverage are intercut to the rhythm laid out in the storyboard. Colour grading defines the final visual tone. VFX, motion graphics, and lyric overlays are added where the treatment calls for them.
Final delivery includes broadcast-ready masters and platform-specific cuts: YouTube, Instagram Reels, TikTok, vertical short-form, and any custom formats your release plan requires.
The DHP Standard
The Song Decides Everything Else Follows
Your song is the brief. The treatment is built around what your music is doing: the lyrical anchors, the genre texture, the artistic identity you bring. By the time we are storyboarding, the visual concept already feels like an extension of your sound.
By the time we are shooting, every frame has a reason rooted in the music. The video that comes back is unmistakably yours. You bring the song. We bring it into vision.

Capabilities
Formats We Produce
Performance Films
The artist performing the song, shot like a film. Single location or multi-location, single setup or full studio production.
Narrative Music Videos
A story told through the song. Cast, locations, arc, and pacing built around lyrical themes. Cinematic where the track demands it.
Lyric Videos
Typography-led visuals that put the words on screen. From minimal motion to full kinetic typography. A streaming-platform staple done with intent.
Live Session & Acoustic Cuts
Stripped-back live captures of full tracks or alternate arrangements. Multi-camera, full audio capture, broadcast-quality sound.
Brand–Artist Collaborations
Branded music content that respects the artist and the brand. Releases that read like the artist's work, not like an ad.
Release Asset Packages
Beyond the main video: vertical cuts for Reels and TikTok, snippet teasers for socials, lyric overlay versions, and BTS content for the rollout.
FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
What kind of music videos does DHP produce?
Performance films, narrative videos, lyric videos, and brand-music collaborations. We work with established artists, labels, and brand teams commissioning music videos as part of campaigns. The work spans pop, R&B, hip-hop, indie, and brand-led musical content. Each video starts with the song and the story that needs to be told around it.
How much does a music video cost in Singapore?
Music video budgets vary with what the song deserves. Most projects at DHP fall between SGD 12,000 and SGD 60,000. Performance films sit at the lower end. Narrative videos with cast, multiple locations, and full styling sit higher. We are built for music videos where the artist or label is investing in something that will represent them for years. We help you shape the production around the budget you have committed to.
How long does music video production take?
Most music videos run four to eight weeks from brief signoff to delivery. Pre-production covers concept, treatment, location scouting, casting, and styling. Production is one to two shoot days. Post-production covers picture edit, colour grade, and finishing. When the release window is tight, we adjust the schedule around what is essential.
Do you work with independent artists or only labels?
Both. The deciding factor is the scale of the production. Our independent-artist work is usually funded through management, brand sponsors, sync deals, or label-backed releases rather than the artist's personal budget. If you are an independent artist self-funding, we can talk through what is possible at the budget you have ready to commit. We are honest about what production scale fits what budget.
What music video styles work best for different genres?
Pop and R&B usually call for performance with stylised lighting and choreography. Hip-hop responds to location-driven narrative and bold visual identity. Indie and alternative often work with concept-driven storytelling and unconventional formats. The style decision happens at the treatment stage based on the song, the artist's brand, and the campaign goal.
Can you produce performance films, narrative videos, and lyric videos?
Yes. Performance films capture the artist in their element with stylised production. Narrative videos build a story around the song and need cast, locations, and styling. Lyric videos can be live-action or animated, depending on the artist's visual direction. The format follows the song, not the other way around.
Do you handle locations, casting, and styling?
Yes. Location scouting, casting, wardrobe styling, and art direction are part of the standard music video production scope. We work with established local talent agencies for cast and our own network of stylists and art directors. These elements are part of the production design, not added as line items.
Can a music video be repurposed for brand campaigns?
Yes, and increasingly this is how labels and brands collaborate. A music video commissioned as part of a brand-music partnership often delivers a primary cut for the artist and shorter cuts for the brand's social and ad placements. We build these requirements into the production plan from the start so nothing has to be retrofitted in post.
